Congratulations to Star City High School junior Maddie Welch on winning the Arkansas Art Educators Presidents Foundation t-shirt design contest. Her design will be featured on t-shirts sold by the foundation to raise money to support school art programs throughout Arkansas.
Thanks to Sargent Art for delivering almost $2000 worth of art supplies to Youth Art Month SCHS students who placed in the Youth Art Month Flag Contest in 2020. Delivery was delayed due to Covid. Grand prize winner Alexia Lams received $500 in art supplies, 1st place state winner Amanda Magana received $100 in art supplies, and SCHS received $1300 in art supplies.

Congratulations to SCHS 9th grader Jaden McCool on being the 2021 Arkansas Art Educators Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest grand prize winner. Jaden received a check for $100. Jaden is the third state YAM Grand Prize Winner from SCHS in six years. #BeThe Best

@SCMiddleSchool will have the end of the year awards assembly Monday, May 24. 8th grade will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m., 7th grade from 10-11 a.m., and 6th grade 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. #BeTheBest
@SCMiddleSchool will have a talent show Friday, May 21 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the High School Auditorium. Participating students are allowed 2 guests.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that gifts free books to children from birth to age five in participating communities. We encourage parent/guardians in Lincoln County to sign up their eligible children! Forms are available online or at JBE.
