It is with deep regret that we inform you about a recent loss to our school community. On Monday, March 1, 2021, Stacie Branson, 4th Grade Teacher at Jimmy Brown Elementary, passed away. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with them in the difficult days ahead. Mrs. Branson will be missed greatly by her family, friends, and the entire SCSD community.
This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially our students. We will offer guidance and counseling services to students and staff. The well-being of our students and staff will remain a top priority as we deal with the emotions surrounding this tragedy.
We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help our staff and students as needed. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as we work through the pain and emotions of this devastating loss.

We have some bus changes due to poor road conditions. Please check the list below for changes to transportation. These changes will be in place tomorrow (Tuesday 3/2) and remain in place until further notice.
If any bus route modifications cause a student not to be picked up by the bus and parents are unable to bring their child to school, we ask the parents to please contact the school. If a student is absent due to any bus route modifications, it will be an excused absence. Safety is our top priority.
