Star City Schools Superintendent Jordan Frizzell will receive the Administrator of the Year award at the Arkansas Art Educators conference on Thursday, November 2 at 6 pm at the Wyndham Riverfront in North Little Rock. The public is invited to attend.
Susan Buckner joined the Star City Staff as choir director in August 1999. She retired from Star City in December 2012. For thirteen years she taught, mentored, and impacted students throughout our district. She was definitely one-of-a-kind and the students not only respected her, but worked hard for her. We loved her passion for music and her sarcastic sense of humor. You had no chance to win an argument with her, and not many tried. Susan definitely left her mark on Star City High School and she will always be remembered. Our prayers go out to her family and friends. Thank you, Mrs. Buckner, for all the good times!
