The SCHS Virtual Learning meeting will be held tonight via Zoom at 6:00. Invitations were sent out to the email address listed on the interest survey. Participants will need to download the Zoom app to view the meeting. If you have questions or need an invitation, please contact the high school office.

The first practice for 7-12 Cross Country will be NEXT MONDAY AUGUST 10TH. We will practice from 4:00pm to about 5:15pm or 5:30pm. The first practice will be very informational as far as procedures, schedule for the rest of August before school, COVID-19 procedures, etc. Social Distancing and Mask Requirement will be followed at all times. We will have a moderate to light run to kind of get accustomed back to running and to try to get back used to the heat. We will meet at the High School Gym Lobby. Before we begin practice I will give out the rest of the schedule for August as well as get all the kids signed up in Remind. Also be sure and bring a copy of your UPDATED PHYSICAL. If you play Basketball or Football then I should have one on file for you already. If you are unsure about having an updated physical please email Coach Potts and he will check.
Here are some COVID-19 Guidelines to remember for when your child shows up to the first Cross Country practice on Monday August 10th.
1) A Mask is required inside & outside anytime social distancing of 6 feet can not be obtained for BOTH ATHLETES & COACHES.
2) We ask that parents do not come inside school facilities during the global pandemic. We ask that you either wait in your vehicle during practice or drop your child off and pick them back up after practice is over.
3) Your child will be asked a series of screening questions. The questions are listed below.
4) All coaches & staff members will have temperatures taken & screening questions answered.
Screening Questions:
1) Do you have a Cough?
2) Do you have Difficulty Breathing?
3) Do you have a Sore Throat?
4) Do you have Loss of Taste or Smell?
5) Do you have a Fever?
6) Have you been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
It is also important to remember to BRING PLENTY OF WATER. It is going to be very hot outside so we need to make sure that everyone stays hydrated before, during, and after practice. We encourage you to have your child bring at least 2 bottles of water or Gatorade. Also please remind your child to bring a mask and their updated physical.
If there is anyone else that still would like to run Cross Country we are still looking for people to join our team. Just tell them about practice on Monday and have them email Coach Potts that way he will know.
Thank you so much! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Coach Potts. We look forward to seeing everyone at practice on Monday.

As we enter a new school year we will be utilizing Google Classroom for our traditional and virtual students. Parents can click the link below for a guide on using Google Classroom.
