Beginning Monday, January 7 there will be a change to the car rider pick-up process at Jimmy Brown Elementary, to provide additional safety for our students. ALL car rider students will be picked up in the circle drive. When you come through circle drive, please place your student’s car rider tag on your rearview mirror so circle drive duty personnel can see it. In addition, parents/guardians will no longer be able to park and pick students up as walkers. Students who live within walking distance will be the only walkers. It is in our students best interest to ensure that we create a safe and orderly pick-up process. If you know in advance that someone else will be picking up your student, please give them one of your tags and they will go through circle drive smoothly. In the event your child is being picked up by someone without a car tag, they will need to park and come into the building to check your child out through the office. Any person without a car tag will need to show a picture ID and be on the checkout list. As we continue to work to increase student safety at JBE, we appreciate your support and understanding in the changes we are making. Please contact Kari Newton, Pre K-2 Principal, or Jacob Lanehart, 3-5 Principal, at 628-5111 if you have questions or need assistance. #WhateverItTakes
